How to Sprout Seeds

  1. Put ½ to 1 tablespoon of seeds in a mason jar.
  2. Add water and soak for 8 to 10 hours.
  3. Drain the seeds and place them back in the mason jar. The seeds should be wet but without standing water. Cover it with a cloth, cheesecloth or muslin to prevent dirt from getting in. Keep the mason jar in a cool place, out of direct sunlight.
  4. Twice each day (morning and evening), rinse the seeds and place them back in the mason jar. Again, the seeds should be wet but without standing water.
  5. In about 4 to 7 days you will have sprouts. Remove the husks if so desired by soaking the finished sprouts in water and gently removing them.
